Learn Vedic Astrology
Jyotish is a lifelong study, offering increasingly rich perspectives as we learn to recognize planetary patterns and apply that knowledge to everyday life.
I believe astrology is most useful when we understand how it works, rather than simply being told what the planets indicate.
Explore opportunities for individual mentoring, guided study, and learning the principles of Vedic astrology. I also mentor students pursuing certification through the Council of Vedic Astrology.

What Is Vedic Astrology?
Jyotish, often translated as the "science of light," is also known as Vedic astrology or Hindu astrology. It is an ancient system of astrological knowledge developed and traditionally practiced on the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years.
Jyotish offers a framework for understanding the patterns of karma, the circumstances of our lives, and the possibilities for personal and spiritual growth.
Alongside other Vedic sciences such as Ayurveda and Yoga, astrology can help us explore how our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual experiences are connected.
Rather than treating planetary influences as fixed predictions, I approach astrology as a tool for observation, understanding, and making conscious choices.
The more we learn about the planetary patterns, the more effectively we can navigate life's challenges and recognize opportunities for growth.
Meet Kerry Shamblin
I've been studying Jyotish since 1997 and practicing professionally since 2000. My work combines traditional Vedic astrology with decades of practical experience interpreting charts, teaching students, and observing how planetary patterns unfold in everyday life.
I'm a professional member of the Council of Vedic Astrology and have been certified to teach and practice Jyotish through the organization.
My relationship with Vedic wisdom extends beyond astrology. Through years of study, travel, and personal practice, I've explored the connections between Jyotish, Yoga, Ayurveda, and other traditional systems of knowledge.
Working directly with people remains one of my favorite parts of practicing astrology. I value the opportunity to explore questions together and help people develop a deeper understanding of their own lives.
I'm grateful to the teachers, colleagues, students, and clients around the world who continue to shape and enrich this work.
