Collective Soul • Leaders • Government • Heart • Individual Agenda
FIRE

Sun changes signs once per month, traversing all 12 signs in one year.

The Sun moves from Taurus into Gemini on June 14, shifting the tone from grounded stabilization toward movement, communication, and rapid adjustment. Escaping Saturn’s restrictive aspect but entering Rahu’s disruptive field, the Sun gains momentum quickly. June favors learning, networking, travel, and experimentation, but flexibility will be essential as Mercury prepares for retrograde by month’s end.

Moon

Moon

Emotions • Mental Fluctuation • Mothers • Caregiving • Devotion • Nutrition
WATER

Moon changes signs every 2.5 days, traversing all 12 signs in about a month.

The Moon activates some of the most important turning points of June, beginning with the final major pulse of Kala Amrita Yoga from June 8–18. The New Moon at the edge of Taurus on June 14 asks for recalibration and grounded reassessment, while the Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 29 brings optimism, movement, and emotional breakthrough despite underlying uncertainty.

Mars

Mars

Power • Strategy • Protection • Alchemy • Courage • Strength
FIRE/WATER

Mars changes signs about every two months, which varies due to occasional retrograde motion.

Mars begins June strong in Aries, driving initiative, courage, and decisive action. On June 20, Mars shifts into Taurus, slowing the pace and redirecting energy toward sustainable effort, practical goals, and long-term resource management. Mars’ aspects through June add heat and pressure to emotional and relational dynamics, especially involving Ketu and the fiery fixed signs.

Mercury

Mercury

Communication • Currency • Intelligence • Analysis • Local Travel • Markets
EARTH/AIR

Mercury’s movement is variable and quick, from 15 - 60 days in one sign, with three retrograde periods per year.

Mercury spends June moving rapidly between signs and states. Strong in Gemini through June 22, Mercury supports transactions, communication, study, and adaptability. After entering Cancer, Mercury quickly stations retrograde on June 29, signaling a period of revision, delays, changing plans, and necessary reorganizations that will dominate much of July.

Jupiter

Jupiter

Growth • Expansion • Positivity • Children • Education • Divinity • Abundance
FIRE/WATER/SPACE

Jupiter changes signs once per year, traversing all 12 signs in about 12 years.

Jupiter’s entrance into Cancer on June 1 is the defining astrological shift of the month and one of the most important transitions of the year. Exalted in Cancer, Jupiter begins restoring optimism, nourishment, growth, and emotional resilience after years of Saturn-heavy contraction. The water signs especially benefit, while Jupiter’s aspect to Saturn begins softening longstanding pressure and stagnation.

Venus

Venus

Relationships • Business • Politics • Entertainment • Love • Beauty • Creativity
EARTH/AIR/WATER

Venus changes signs about once per month, but this varies due to occasional retrograde periods.

Venus joins Jupiter in Cancer from June 8 – July 4, emphasizing relationships, creativity, family connection, and emotional sensitivity. The conjunction of Venus and exalted Jupiter creates a fertile and socially supportive atmosphere, encouraging healing through connection, beauty, and shared experiences. Mars’ aspect adds intensity and passion, making June emotionally vibrant and creatively charged.

Saturn

Saturn

Limitation • Contraction • Illness • Suffering • Karma • Time • Age • Slow • Cold
EARTH/AIR

Saturn stays in one sign for 2.5 - 3 years, taking 28-30 years to go through all of the signs.

Saturn remains in Pisces, continuing the long process of dissolution, accountability, and karmic reckoning. Now positioned in Revati nakshatra, Saturn emphasizes endings, integration, and completing unfinished business from long cycles stretching back decades. Jupiter’s powerful aspect from Cancer helps soften Saturn’s harsher tendencies, allowing responsibility and surrender to coexist with renewed hope.

Rahu

Rahu – North Node

Humanity • Instability • Addiction • Innovation • International • Diversity • Opportunity
AIR

Rahu and Ketu form an axis that moves in tandem, spending about 1.5 years in each sign, moving in backward motion through the zodiac.

Rahu continues in Aquarius, maintaining potential for disruption, innovation, exposure, and radical change. Still highly potent through Shatabishak nakshatra for most of June, Rahu pushes the collective toward experimentation and unconventional solutions. Its aspect to the Sun and Mercury increases instability, overstimulation, and the sense that too many possibilities are unfolding at once.

Ketu

Ketu – South Node

Followers • Army • Spirituality • Intuition • Mistakes • Blindness • Obstruction
FIRE

Rahu and Ketu form an axis that moves in tandem, spending about 1.5 years in each sign, moving in backward motion through the zodiac.

Ketu remains powerful in Magha nakshatra in Leo, quietly intensifying themes of ancestry, karmic inheritance, detachment, and sudden transformation. Mars’ exact aspect to Ketu late in June amplifies fiery, catalytic energy that can produce abrupt shifts or liberating breakthroughs. Ketu continues preparing the ground beneath visible events, stripping away what no longer belongs.

Jupiter Enters Cancer June 1

Jupiter’s transit through each sign of the zodiac takes about one year total, but will often be broken into two or three sections due to Jupiter advancing into the next sign and then taking retrograde motion into the previous sign. Jupiter’s current Gemini transit began on May 14, 2025 and was broken into two sections when Jupiter advanced to Cancer on October 18, 2025, took retrograde motion on November 11, 2025, and then retreated to Gemini on December 5, 2025.

Similarly, Jupiter’s Cancer transit will be in three sections. The first was the brief seven-week preview between October 18 – December 5, 2025. The second will be from June 1 – October 31, 2026, when Jupiter advances in direct motion through the entire sign of Cancer. The third will be when retrograde Jupiter re-enters Cancer on January 24, 2027, resumes direct motion on April 12, and exits Cancer for the final time on June 25, 2027.

Now that we have the schedule, let’s focus on this upcoming direct motion section of Jupiter in Cancer from June 1 – October 31. This five month period should feature noticable positive influences from Jupiter that may not have been accessable since around March 30, 2020, when Jupiter moved into debilitation in Capricorn, kicking off a six year period when Saturn began to dominate Jupiter. This felt like Saturn’s limitations and obstructions taking over the Jupiter qualities of growth, positivity, and expansion.

When Jupiter reaches Cancer on June 1, this long standing energy pattern could begin to shift. Jupiter is very positive while in Cancer, its sign of exaltation. This brings the growth potential of Jupiter to the front of things, perhaps affording each of us a new horizon and an opening toward next chapters. Additionally, Saturn has been transiting Pisces, Jupiter’s sign, since March 29, 2025, giving Jupiter some leverage over Saturn’s negative tendencies. With Jupiter attaining Cancer, this maximizes Jupiter’s effect on Saturn by aspect, as well. Jupiter’s 9th aspect will hit Saturn while Saturn sits in Jupiter’s water sign of Pisces. We are all ready for the tide to come in!

Jupiter’s natural aspects extend to the other two signs of the same element that he occupies. This means that not only Cancer will benefit from Jupiter’s transit, but also Scorpio and Pisces. This gives auspicious energy to the idea of deep transformation that Scorpio catalyzes as well as expansion to the foundational finishing that Saturn in Pisces is demanding.

In addition to the water signs gaining positive regard from Jupiter’s aspects, like every planet, Jupiter also aspects the opposite sign, which will be Capricorn for Jupiter’s tenure in Cancer. Identify the four houses in your chart that are filled with the signs of Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces. Then begin to make space for growth, upgrades, and deep learning in those sectors of life.

Venus Transits Cancer June 8 – July 4

Venus joins Jupiter in Cancer on June 8th, passes by Jupiter on June 9th for an exact conjunction, and then glides into Leo on July 4th. This continues the “dwi guru yoga” combination that we saw when Jupiter and Venus spent time together in Gemini. This combination highlights the two great teacher planets joining, indicating a focus on learning trajectories, issues with teachers or students, and the challenge of reconciling natural and social forces.

Cancer is a water sign that is ruled by the Moon, making it a natural environment of nurture, care, and sensitivity. Venus and the Moon aren’t considered to be natural friends, but by association, they have affinity. Venus’ earth sign, Taurus, is the exaltation sign for the Moon. Venus and Moon are both associated with the water element. When Venus transits Cancer, the door to exchange of signs between Moon and Venus opens.

This is a transit for a sensitive approach to negotiations, relationships, and creative process. With the addition of exalted Jupiter in the mix, this could be a vibrant month with regard to family connections, social contact, and entertaining.

One thing to note is Mars’ aspect from Aries which extends to June 20th, when Mars moves to Taurus. This is a fiery energy which we can tap into for powerful results. From Aries, Mars aspects Cancer, Libra, and Scorpio. This fiery energy adds to the mix in Cancer, with both Venus and Jupiter transiting there. The extra push from Mars could feel encouraging or aggressive; knowing that, prepare to feel that push and be ready in advance to receive it with a strategy for moving forward.

When we are mixing fire and water, there is an alchemical potential. The creative push of Mars toward Venus and Jupiter in Cancer feels fertile, powerful, and expansive through mid-June, as the Sun moves toward it’s Summer solstice. Be open to inspiration by having materials at the ready.

Kala Amrita Yoga June 8 - 18

Just after Venus moves to Cancer, our third pulse of Kala Amrita Yoga kicks in on June 8th, and this one may feel a bit different based on how the other planets have moved. We are seeing a true Kala Amrita Yoga, which is a variation on the better known Kala Sarpa Yoga. We also see a graha malika yoga (planets occupying more than 4 sequential signs), or in Western astrology, a bucket formation. However we name it, there is something that feels weighty about all of the planets grouped on one side of the zodiac.

When the Moon moves past Rahu and into Saturn’s grip on June 8th, all of the visible planets are hemmed between Rahu in Aquarius and Ketu in Leo, until June 18th, when the waxing Moon will move into Leo, joining Ketu, which begins to rebalance and give perspective as the Moon breaks the grip of Kala Amrita Yoga.

Let’s look out for those fated choices, actions, and events that tend to pop up during these pulses. During this third pulse, the planets have spread out and changed mood. Saturn remains in Pisces, Mars is strongly in his own sign of Aries, the Sun moves from Taurus to Gemini joining Mercury who has been capable in his own sign since May 29th. The auspicious combination of Jupiter and Venus shines a little brighter due to Jupiter’s exaltation. These pulses ask for attention to the fine balance between desire, action, and surrender.

New Moon in Taurus/Mrigashira June 14

June’s new Moon carries some movement and drama as the Sun and Moon conjoin at 29 degrees 50 minutes Taurus late in the day on June 14th, or early in the day of June 15th, depending on where on Earth you are. This is the second month in a row where the new Moon falls in Taurus, just barely.

While the new Moon occurs on a borderline, there are a few other factors that indicate a pivotal point in the month. Saturn will aspect the new Moon, showing that in addition to the waning Moon draining our energy prior to that moment, we also have Saturn weighing in, reminding us of the small things that require our attention in order to complete tasks.

There is the backdrop of the one-sided zodiac, with the visible planets occupying only five signs, which could be instructive in showing imbalances and shortages that call for reorganization or recalibration. There is also the exchange of signs between the Moon and Venus, giving strength and resilience in the face of exhaustion. Exalted Jupiter, near to Venus, brings hope, faith, and positivity.

In the midst of it all, as the world keeps turning, you may need to find that quiet moment mid-month to sit and take stock of how you are sitting, standing, and moving in the play of the day-to-day. The world will continue to turn; this new Moon will be a good moment to pivot slightly in order to sync up.

Sun Transits Gemini June 14 – July 16

The day star, Surya, spends a month in Gemini from June 14 through July 16, escaping Saturn’s aspect and moving into Rahu’s. This could feel like stepping on the gas pedal, so make sure your vehicle is pointed in the right direction. The Sun joins Mercury, ruler of Gemini, for the first week of his transit, after which Mercury moves to Cancer on June 22, leaving the Sun alone to keep the momentum going.

The Sun’s transits are always notable through signs, as the Sun represents the sense of the individual self as well as the collection of souls. The quick thinking, quick moving environment of Gemini brings a carefree feeling to the Sun’s transit, encouraging fun, skills building, travel, and transactions.

The first week of Sun in Gemini we see Mercury in the late degrees of Gemini. During the last week of Sun in Gemini, we see retrograde Mercury in the late degrees of Gemini, returned after a short sojourn in Cancer. The new Moon of July 14th looks super Gemini, with the Sun, Moon, and retrograde Mercury joining in Punarvasu nakshatra.

With that longer view, know that what you get going in mid-June could be scheduled for an update, reorganization, or restart in July, when retrograde Mercury returns to the Sun’s vicinity, encouraging flexibility, editing, and do-overs.

Mars Transits Taurus June 20 – August 2

As Mars moves from his own fiery springboard, Aries, to Venus’ earthy Taurus on June 20, we may feel a slowing of momentum. This is a call to click in to a sustainable pace that supports a powerful and fulfilling long term haul.

Mars’ favorite coach, Saturn, aspects Taurus from Pisces, where Mars transits from June 20 through August 2. This puts the brakes on Mars’ hard charging tendency, which can result in frustration when the true desire is to just get going.

Surrendering to the pastoral environment can be quite fulfilling, so adjust your power levels toward the end of June in order to slow down and enjoy the work to be done with the promise of an earlier quitting time that allows for some enjoyment and connection.

Mars shifting to Taurus also does a couple of other things. First, the combination formed with planets occupying continguous signs breaks; this is the Graha Malika Yoga that sends us into trajectories both wanted and unwanted. This could feel like a break, from work, from responsibility, from urgency.

Second, Mars will aspect different signs from Taurus: Leo, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. Notably, Mars aspecting Ketu directly in late June feels hot, as Mars, Ketu, and Leo all have a fiery designation. Think of Mars as power, strength, energy and pressing ahead. Find the houses in your chart that correspond with Mars’ transit and aspects and plan to get some list items finished in those domains of life from late June through July.

Mercury Transits Cancer June 22 – July 7

Just after the Summer solstice on June 21, Mercury departs Gemini and follows his teachers into Cancer for a brief stint that sees him taking retrograde motion on June 29th and returning to Gemini on July 7th.

Remembering that Gemini is getting the aspect of dynamic Rahu from Aquarius, we can expect some twists, turns, and busy vibes from Mercury through June and July. On one hand this could indicate unexpected complications or mishaps; on the other it could offer windows of opportunity that open and close quickly, inviting us to be on our toes and ready to pivot this summer.

This will be a brief transit of Cancer during the last week of June and first week of July, with a reprise that comes August 5 – 21, when full speed Mercury plunges back into Cancer joining Jupiter for a quick chase.

Mercury moving through his own sign can bring benefits in the form of quick moving transactions, learning new things, and getting a lot of little things started (and hopefully finished!) Rahu’s aspect to Mercury and Gemini could bring some turbulence, but with the proper navigation, things could move a little faster in the direction you hope to be going.

Mercury Retrograde June 29 – July 23

Newly awash in Cancer, Mercury appears to stop advancing at 3 degrees Cancer on Monday, June 29th, beginning a retrograde phase that shows him retreating into Gemini on July 7th and resuming direct motion at 23 degrees Gemini on July 23rd.

Mercury retrograde phases tend to upend what we expect to run smoothly, especially in the realms of communication and transaction. Pay attention to details, back up devices, and avoid planning a tight schedule as June winds down. Retrograde Mercury can force you to start over or do again; see that as either an inconvenience or a blessing and be sure to tune up your sense of humor and humble attitude.

Attention to Punarvasu nakshatra comes as we watch Mercury’s retrograde cycle, which happens completely within this light filled lunar mansion that spans between 20 degrees Gemini and 3 degrees 20 minutes Cancer. This is a creative, nurturing, and positive slice of the zodiac that could see some cleaning and renovation with Mercury buzzing back and forth this summer. We will revisit Mercury’s retrograde antics in the July forecast.

Full Moon Sagittarius/Purvashada June 29

The final act of June comes with the full Moon at 14 degrees Sagittarius, in the first pada of Purvashada nakshatra. An interesting energy could manifest during this last whisper of June, with some of the planets set up to encourage flow, growth, and forward motion, but with an underlayer of resistance that comes from the outer planets.

After escaping the bind of Kala Amrita Yoga on June 18th by moving past Ketu, the Moon waxes through the quiet side of the zodiac through late June, becoming full in Jupiter’s fire sign on June 29th, just after Mercury assumes retrograde motion while splashing in the early degrees of the Moon’s sign of Cancer. This feels like a burgeoning positivity.

The signs of Jupiter, Sagittarius and Pisces, will benefit from Jupiter’s newly attained exalted status, as will any planets occupying those signs while Jupiter moves through Cancer. In the case of this full Moon, we see an actual exchange of signs between Moon and Jupiter, creating a clear, auspicious energy of growth, positivity, and divinity.

Purvashada nakshatra is ruled by Apas, lord of the waters, and implies a quick approach to success and victory. On the surface of things we may feel encouraged to push toward our goals as if things really are coming together. Venus is the planetary ruler of Purvashada, so the nakshatra inherently carries the combined energy of Jupiter and Venus, who are also both placed in Cancer at this moment, with the wiggly retrograde Mercury, as well.

Mars from Krittika in Taurus also has a push for the full Moon with its 8th aspect, giving us foundational confidence to move forward despite some underlying doubts that we may be feeling from the outer planets. Recalling our discussion of Mars also aspecting Venus and Cancer earlier in June, before his move to Taurus, we are reminded of the transformational and alchemical energy that comes when we mix fire and water. Fiery Mars will aspect watery Moon in a fire sign, continuing to encourage us to break through patterns that trap us in the past.

The resistance to the desire for breaking through, moving past, and emerging could come from some of the outer planets. Jupiter’s newly positive boost affects sluggish Saturn who has reached the final nakshatra of the zodiac, Revati. Jupiter rules Pisces and also aspects Pisces (and Saturn) from Cancer, giving us a newly bouyant attitude toward finishing cycles, letting go of the defunct, and continuing to be karmically responsible as we reckon with the past, confront the present, and look conservatively toward the future through Saturn’s cautious eye.

Another drop of doubt could percolate from Rahu’s indecisive and chaotic effect on the Sun. Rahu from Aquarius continues to rock the boat, bringing up too many eventualities and opportunities to track. Rahu remains strong in Shatabishak nakshatra, showing us that every problem has infinite solutions, which on one hand opens doors, but on the other hand, opens too many doors. Rahu aspects the Sun in Gemini, who will have reached Ardra nakshatra by the moment of the full Moon. Ardra reminds us of the struggle we all face to find access to what we desire. Ardra is ruled by the fierce form of Shiva known as Rudra, a destructive force that demands enough air time to make space for new things to come. Ardra is also ruled by Rahu, giving the Sun some unstable influences at this time, including a retrograde Mercury, who lords the sign of Gemini.

Finally, we touch base with Ketu, silently sitting in Magha nakshatra which covers the first section of Leo. The aspect from grounded but still fiery Mars is exact to Ketu during this full Moon, upping the fire energy. Ketu can be seen as fuel that can be quickly ignited. Magha is associated with Ketu as a planetary lord, giving Ketu more power at this time to surprise us with sudden acts of liberation.

The potent position of the nodes both riding through nakshatras that they rule continues through all of June; Ketu remains strong in Magha through November and Rahu changes mood in late June, when he slips into Dhanistha nakshatra. As we navigate June, Rahu continues to shout across the rooftops that it is time for a change as Ketu digs in and prepares the body, Earth, and ground for the act of transformation.
