Moon changes signs every 2.5 days, traversing all 12 signs in about a month.
The Moon is waxing in early June coming into its full point on June 11th in the intuitive sign of Scorpio, bringing inner clarity that may not translate to logical reasoning. As June progresses, the waning Moon urges us to find quiet time during busy days. Pause fully at the new Moon in Gemini which joins the Sun and Jupiter on June 25th.

Mars changes signs about every two months, which varies due to occasional retrograde motion.
Mars finally blazes out of debilitation in Cancer on June 6th, where he gathers strength and strategy for a powerful Leo transit through July. While we may feel ready to hit the road at full speed, we may encounter obstacles that make us think again due to Ketu’s obstructive presence in Leo. Plan ahead for potential frustration to have a proper outlet valve.

EARTH/AIR
Mercury’s movement is variable and quick, from 15 - 60 days in one sign, with three retrograde periods per year.
Mercury is on the bounce in June, spanning three signs; the first week of June, Mercury is happy in Taurus. June 6 – 22, Mercury is ecstatic in Gemini joining Jupiter, and from June 22 onward through the summer, Mercury is found in Cancer. The first few weeks of June are great for organizing, multitasking, learning, and having fun!

FIRE/WATER/SPACE
Jupiter changes signs once per year, traversing all 12 signs in about 12 years.
Jupiter is setting up his new classroom as he moves through the early degrees of Gemini, receiving visits from Sun and Mercury during June. The main thing to watch is the mutual aspect of Jupiter and Rahu which is creating a rapid rise enviroment in all of the air signs: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. Watch what you wish for!

EARTH/AIR/WATER
Venus changes signs about once per month, but this varies due to occasional retrograde periods.
Venus spends most of June in Aries, feeling the heat and getting primed for a productive time in the studio once she moves into Taurus on June 29th. This is passionate energy that can be harnessed for new projects and collaborations. June is for gathering materials, July is for creating with them.

EARTH/AIR
Saturn stays in one sign for 2.5 - 3 years, taking 28-30 years to go through all of the signs.
Saturn alone remains in the watery expanse of Pisces after the dramatic events of the Spring. While most of our consciousness is on board with our new directions, realize that there is a deep process occuring beneath the waves, inviting us to integrate the lessons that have come our way over the past couple decades.

AIR
Rahu and Ketu form an axis that moves in tandem, spending about 1.5 years in each sign, moving in backward motion through the zodiac.
Rahu, comfortable traveling the world, eating strange foods, and assimilating into various cultures, is home. For the next 18 months, Rahu transits Aquarius, the fixed air sign that he co-rules with Saturn. Begin to reflect on what you have, what you want, and what you don’t want as Rahu shakes out the rugs and settles into his happy place.

FIRE
Rahu and Ketu form an axis that moves in tandem, spending about 1.5 years in each sign, moving in backward motion through the zodiac.
In tandem with Rahu, Ketu is settling into his new spot in Leo for the next 18 months, challenging us to bring inner wisdom and intuition into our creative efforts, leadership, and ego management. The royal sign of Leo is challenged by Ketu’s indifference, putting many leaders on the hot seat in the near future.

June 2025 will be the first month of the rest of our lives, after the very dynamic Spring wherein the outer planets all shifted signs. Jyotisha doesn’t traditionally account for Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus, so when we are mentioning outer planets, we mean Saturn, Jupiter, and the nodal axis shadow planets, Rahu and Ketu.
Let’s check in with those outer outer planets! At the beginning of June 2025, Uranus is found at 3 degrees Taurus, Neptune at 8 degrees Pisces, and Pluto at 10 degrees Capricorn, according to the sidereal zodiac. These slow moving outer outer planets won’t be changing signs any time soon. Uranus shifts from Taurus to Gemini July 2031, Neptune moves from Pisces to Aries May 2036, and Pluto moves from Capricorn to Aquarius February 2040.
All three of these very slow transiting outer outer planets have shifted signs within the last five years. Uranus moves the quickest of the three, changing signs about every 6 – 8 years; the last shift from Aries to Taurus was June 2024. Neptune spends about 14 years in each sign; that last shift from Aquarius to Pisces was February 2023, and Pluto spends about 20 years in each sign, with the last shift being December 2020.
With the outer outer planets firmly rooted where they are, and the outer planets having just snuggled into new signs, we may be seeing some settling into a new groove after a rather unstable period of time marked by unexpected changes and many moving parts.
Mercury isn’t planning on settling at all, moving quickly through the early signs of the zodiac through the Spring. Catching up to his favorite teacher Jupiter, Mercury races into Gemini on June 6th joining with Jupiter and then going for the fast pass, making it to Cancer by June 22nd.
June sees Mercury in full Gemini glory, moving at a pace, making connections, learning lessons, and networking into the future with big plans to get all of the ideas implemented and on the road.
Jupiter and Mercury are the classic student and teacher duo, so this quick meeting in June could bring forward new educational pathways or teaching opportunities. Jupiter and Mercury interactions tend to highlight relationships based in education, finances, media, or religion.
This is a very potent Mercury in its own sign of Gemini, making it possible for us all to exercise the communication and exchange functions of Mercury to the highest potential during mid-June.
Quick trips, moving, and getting those new courses up and running are well supported this month. During the first week of June when Mercury is still in earthy Taurus, the momentum of running Mercury could help loosen stubborn holds that are preventing things from flowing forward.
On the same day that Mercury bursts into Gemini, Mars moves (finally!!) out of Cancer and into Leo. This puts an official end to Mars’ interesting Gemini-Cancer project that dragged out for nine whole months due to a well-timed retrograde cycle.
Mars resumed direct motion in Gemini on February 23rd, and then entered Cancer in direct motion on April 2nd. Mars doesn’t love the swirling emotions found in the watery sign of Cancer, ruled by the Moon, despite his good relationship with the Moon. The study is vulnerability and emotional growth in Cancer; Mars’ agenda seldom supports that type of study, as he opts for strategy, executive action, and power plays.
With the outer planets newly stationed and the outer outer planets settled in place, June is a whole month of forward moving planets who have spread out from one another after the intense conjunctions in the Spring. This brings clarity, movement, and creative potential.
When Mars moves to the Sun’s fixed sign of Leo on June 6th, he stays through July, steadily heading through the creative fire of Leo and toward a meeting with Ketu at the late degrees of Leo on July 20 – 21.
Headless Ketu has the reputation for creating and removing blockages, causing reversals, and creating puzzling situations. Mars in Leo is strongly forward moving, problem solving, and filled with brute force. The meeting of these two entities could be powerful and fiery. They are affiliated as the co-rulers of the sign of Scorpio, and work well together as a team, with Mars giving orders and Ketu making them so.
From Leo, Mars’ strength extends into three other signs by planetary aspect: Scorpio, Aquarius, and Pisces. Especially the aspect into Scorpio is potent, as Mars is powerful in Leo and aspecting his own sign. People with Mars in Leo in their chart get this benefit all the time, making them able to push forward and move mountains. Before turning on that generator, confirm your direction and whether or not a mountain really needs to be moved. This is potential power; move wisely and create with the intention of building to last.
When Mars moves out of Leo and into Virgo on July 28th, he also breaks the hemming of planets, aka Kala Amrita Yoga, caught on one side of the nodal axis, the invisible line traced across the zodiac that promises eclipse energy when the Sun and Moon pass through. Mars’ move through Leo and and Ketu’s current orb of influence could feel like a big push toward solving a significant problem that opens a gateway toward an open road.
On June 11th, the Moon moves into monthly opposition with the Sun at 27 degrees Taurus, which produces a full Moon at 27 degrees Scorpio. This creates a grid of energy in the fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, as the luminaries and the nodes each occupy one of these signs.
Especially with the Mars and Ketu combination in effect in June and July, the Moon reaching its full point on June 11th in the intuitive waters of Scorpio could bring us clarity and resolution about our direction as the lunar energy crests for the month.
The fixed nature of the signs involved for this full Moon indicate that in some way, we have committed to our direction and change orders may be limited. The nakshatra where the Moon will be during this moment is Jyestha, which occupies the last part of Scorpio and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Mercury is currently happy in his own sign of Gemini, taking copius notes from his teacher, Jupiter. This combination of Jupiter and Mercury in the airy, dual sign Gemini informs us that while we may not be able to change the foundations, we still have wiggle room when it comes to the details.
Hours after the full Moon, she begins to wane, sinking into Sagittarius and into opposition with the curious and wise voices of Mercury and Jupiter, who encourage learning as we go. Don’t become overwhelmed by the commitments made; instead realize that meeting those commitments may not look the way you assumed it would be.
The Sun moves to Mercury’s multidirectional air sign, Gemini, from June 14th through July 16th. This shifts our focus to both Gemini and Sagittarius and the Sun’s strong light joins Jupiter, who is now gliding calmly through the 3rd zodiac sign through May 2026.
With a double dose of big, warm energy in Gemini, we can put our heart and soul into projects that require growth, faith, positivity, and creativity.
With the Sun helping us to focus on the cheerful learning environment of Gemini, we can also tend to many of the day to day routines that keep us going. This is a good time to review financial systems, banking and investments, and business management tools. Plunging into studies, teaching, or any angle of education could also feel good.
Beware of taking on too many things at once! Saturn over there bobbing around in Pisces reminds us that while our enthusiasm may be boundless, the slots on our calendar are not...
After buzzing through Gemini, Mercury blasts into Cancer with a classic lifeguard lunge, slowing down the thought stream and bringing our attention to how the intellect reacts to emotional overwhelm. Thus, we remember that the Mercury retrograde theme of 2025 plays out in water signs, inviting us to the awkward wedding of intelligence and emotion.
Mercury’s plans include staying at the beach resort for the remainder of the summer, working on his novel and writing his new business plans. For the first month of this transit, Mercury dog paddles forward, slowing down mid-July and beginning a retrograde cycle on July 17th that returns him to the early degrees of Cancer for a direct station on August 10th.
While we don’t have many aspects beaming into Cancer from the outer planets, we will have visits from the Sun, Moon, and eventually Venus as Mercury swims about in the Moon’s serene pool. An interesting connection that isn’t obvious is that we have two friendly planets, the two who really are amazing at learning and improving, Mercury and Saturn, somewhat adrift in signs that elementally challenge their methods.
Similar to the very long Mars transit through Cancer in the past year, we will have Mercury making his best effort navigating challenging circumstances through the summer months. Neither Mercury nor Saturn thrive in the water elements, but they will support our collective effort to stay above water through August.
This is a study in emotional intelligence and navigating sensitive situations with curiosity, compassion, and detachment. Management, organization, communication, and daily tasks all fall under Mercury’s domain, and with Mercury swimming in Cancer for a prolonged time, we may feel called to imbue our moments with a deeper sense of connection that requires slowing down and flowing through clear channels.
Continuing the mental theme created by Mercury in Cancer, the Moon joins the Sun at 10 degrees Gemini for a new Moon in Ardra on June 25th. Bringing an end to the first full month since the nodal axis clicked into its new station, we may be looking around to make sure we have collected ourselves after a very dynamic Spring.
The Summer Solstice comes on June 20th, marking the longest day of the year for the northern hemisphere, bringing our attention to the intense power of the Sun. The active, masculine energy held in the sign of Gemini encourages us to transact, reach out, and network. The Moon in this new phase could bring us to a temporary stop as we refuel and reorganize.
The energy of Ardra nakshatra can be unstable and unpredictable because it is ruled by the shadowy Rahu. From Aquarius, Rahu will also be aspecting the trio of friends joining in Gemini: Sun, Moon, and Jupiter. While we may feel ourselves in a moment of pause at the end of June with this new Moon, it is likely going to feel as if things are moving along whether or not we are on board.
As June flows into July, we could be reluctantly busy cleaning up snafus that we didn’t see coming. With this information in hand, come prepared with wisdom, patience, and compassion as we navigate a little bit of turbulence with joy and grace.
Venus glides into her own earthy sign of Taurus on June 29th for a quick tour that takes her into Gemini, joining Jupiter, on July 26th.
Plan to make time for one or all of these things during July, when Venus is well positioned in her own sign of Taurus, with no other visitors and a stern but friendly aspect from Saturn alone.
Heads up for Scorpio! When Venus moves through Taurus, Mars will be moving through Leo, and both of them will be aspecting Scorpio. Make a container for that passionate, designer energy so that July becomes a crucible for your magical creativity! This could also be relationship action for the Taurus – Scorpio axis, if those signs are prominent in your relationship sector.
